Ever fancied learning an instrument but never had the chance? You’re in luck! Join our beginners course for free starting on 28 May, 2024!

Our Adult Training Band, under the leadership of Beth, is open to all aspiring adult musicians, regardless of ability or prior experience. Complete beginners are welcome.

Who can come?
The Adult Training Band is open to any adult (aged 18 and over) who wishes to learn a brass instrument or who wishes to improve their existing playing.

How much does it cost?
We are offering an 8 week course of sessions + the loan of an instrument completely free of charge. Once you graduate from the course our subscription is £12 per month if you choose to continue.

Instrument Loan
Instruments will be available to loan for those who require them at no additional cost. This instrument can be taken home to practise in between the Adult Training Band sessions. All we ask is that you take good care of it and if it gets damaged, please let us know.

When will it happen?
Beginners courses run Tuesday evenings 7-8pm in 8 week terms (next term starts on 28th May, 2024).
Adult Training Band (for Beginners course graduates) runs every Tuesday evening 8-10pm

Where does it happen?
The Training Band takes place at the St Albans City Brass bandroom which is located at Unit 5A, Parkway, Porters Wood, St Albans, AL3 6PA. Our bandroom is upstairs in this unit (accessible with a stairlift) and has plentiful space for teaching and full band rehearsals. There is also ample free parking at both the front and rear of the building.
