Our Community Band, under the leadership of Beth, is open to all aspiring adult musicians, regardless of ability or prior experience. Complete beginners are welcome (see below).

Who can come?
The Community Band is open to any adult (aged 18 and over) who wishes to improve their existing playing, and to graduates of our complete beginners course.

How much does it cost?
We are offering an 8 week course of sessions + the loan of an instrument completely free of charge. Once you graduate from the course our subscription is £12 per month if you choose to continue. Sign up here!
Instrument Loan
Instruments will be available to loan for those who require them at no additional cost. This instrument can be taken home to practise in between the Community Band sessions. All we ask is that you take good care of it and if it gets damaged, please let us know.

When will it happen?
Community Band (for Beginners course graduates) takes place on Tuesday evenings.

Where does it happen?
The Community Band takes place at the St Albans City Brass bandroom which is located at Unit 5A, Parkway, Porters Wood, St Albans, AL3 6PA. Our bandroom is upstairs in this unit (accessible with a stairlift) and has plentiful space for teaching and full band rehearsals. There is also ample free parking at both the front and rear of the building.
