Former Band member Philip Cook has kindly sent me his photos of various band engagements from his years in the Band to complement the videos he recently shared. To start with here is three shots of the Band playing in Verulamium Park circa 1989 under the baton of Frank Rawbone.
A young Adrian Temple can be seen on top cornet, with Phil on the far left and next to him Jim Hooper playing cornet. On Solo Trombone can be seen Ted Burney and Tony Marriott can be seen on Second Euphonium. Any other name suggestions are welcome.
Current members will recognise the Band’s shield that we still have in the Bandroom at present.
