Carolling in the cold!
Some nice pics here of our carolling gig at a primary school in Watford last Saturday. Can you tell how cold it was?

It was an honour to play at the St Albans Remembrance Day Parade and Service this morning, our first public engagement in nearly two years. Thank you to everyone who played. Jenny’s Last Post was clear as a bell, and very moving. #LestWeForget
We are delighted to be returning to indoor playing from September 2021 in a bigger central St Albans venue when needed to allow for social distancing. We are currently playing with around 10 players and would be interested in hearing from anyone who may be interested in joining the Band whether an existing player or someone …

We played together for the first time in 15 months tonight! See you next week in a different garden to annoy a different set of neighbours! Feeling emotional, or maybe just knackered.
I thought I had a video of St. Albans Band in Grove House Gardens, Dunstable and I found it! 3rd July 1994, guest soloist Maurice Murphy, guest conductor Rod Franks. Happy days!
Carolling at St Albans City Station tonight. Surprisingly Richard Sved didn’t seem to know as many people as usual! Sadly due to the rail disruption others couldn’t get there. Thanks to Jenny Hill for the video!
This afternoon’s Mayors Carols, seemed a bit shorter this year, but well received and the band were sounding good. Also good to have an announcement from the Mayor about the Training Band! Plus I think Richard looks a natural with the bass!
A short video of the Band performing ‘Christmas Festival’ at last night’s concert.
